My son is learning to crawl! Of all the things going on in my life, that one blows my mind the most! We had a good day at church last Sabbath, we went to a church for the first time and we felt very loved. We'll probably attend there for the rest of our stay in Honolulu. The potluck food is amazing too! i thought i was pretty well cultured on food but i don't recognize half of the foods we eat at potluck. i was also able to pick up a part-time job while we were there too. It's hard to fell like i'm giving my family enough time when i'm working 6 days a week but i geuss some people spend a lot less time with their family's than i get too. The airline shut downs have added about $1,200 to our return trip home(since 4 of us need tickets), so i may have to work off base at a paying job a couple weeks longer than we intended to stay. But i'm sure that GOD will get us home when HE wants to. i've heard many good faith building stories of GOD's provision since we've been here. But the one story i'll remember for a long time came from a chipper english lady named Margaret. She said that she had spent her whole life trying to please GOD when she became very ill and was bedridden for 4 years. 4 years! in bed! She said that when she was healed, she immediately realized that GOD loved her enough to heal her even though for the past 4 years she had done nothing for HIM because she could do nothing but lay in bed. And so she's so thankful for those years because it made her realize how GOD loves her.
Here's a couple of pics of the current project. There are 4 missionaries and 2 children staying in this house. Every room in this house has a leaky ceiling but the old rafters cannot support a new roof, so we are totally replacing the ceiling and roof. This house has about a 50 foot drop on the other side so please pray for my safety(and my fear of heights). Luv you all.
